North Carolina Apple Festival
The 65th annual North Carolina Apple Festival will be September 2 through 5, 2011, in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
You can purchase a few apples or bushels of fresh locally grown apples. Many of the growers also feature items such as fried apple pies, apple cakes, apple butter and apple cider at the Festival.
Special foodie events abound, such as the Kiwanis Country Apple Festival Pancake Breakfast on the morning of September 2, and the Breakfast with the Elks on the morning of September 4. All are listed in the online brochure.
