SÓ Sligo 2010 spotlights Ireland’s locally produced cuisine, scenery and family entertainment March 19-21, 2010. Look for the World Irish Stew Championships, Professional and Amateur Junior Master Chef Competition, Cookery demonstrations by Chef Neven Maguire of Blackliion, and by Prannie Rhatigan, author of Irish Seaweed Kitchen (pictured, at left).
There’ll also be “great value festival menus” at participating restaurants, weekend accomodation packages at participating hotels and B&B’s, tours of local ingredient producers, food & culture trails, a Farmers Market and music both in the street and in restaurants and pubs throughout the town and county of Sligo, Republic of Ireland.
