Maine Harvest Festival
The Maine Harvest Festival takes place this weekend (November 17 and 18, 2018) in the Cross Insurance Center, 515 Main Street, Bangor, Maine.
Hours each day are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission is $8. Everything from Maine sea salt to goat cheese to sauerkraut and maple popcorn will be offered by a variety of vendors (if you’re in need of a scythe and sharpening equipment, this is the place).
There are all sorts of culinary demonstrations, including one on how to make your own potato chips. Of course there’s a pie competition.
A beer, wine and spirits sampling takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Road Trips Foodies who want to participate buy wristbands: $6 gets you four samples, and $10 gets you eight samples.
