Ale Trail, Oakland, CaliforniaIn a week or so there’ll be a new reason to visit Oakland, California.

Visit Oakland launches the Oakland Ale Trail February 18, 2017, at the East Bay Brewers Festival.

The Oakland Ale Trail includes 12 breweries and nine tasting rooms (with an additional three tasting rooms opening soon) and will provide visitors with a simple way to explore Oakland craft beer. Participants who use an Ale Trail passport and visit all of Oakland’s brewery taprooms will earn a free Oakland Ale Trail branded growler.

The East Bay Brewers Festival takes place from noon to 4 p.m. February 18, 2017, in The Hive, 2335 Broadway, Oakland.

Brewers from 25 local craft breweries will show off their wares, including at least one debut brew from each (not to mention an ice cream made with local beer from Humphry Slocombe). Proceeds will benefit West Oakland’s City Slicker Farms, helping to further their mission of educating and empowering the East Bay community to cultivate sustainable organic food in urban farms and backyard gardens.
