Family-Friendly Brasserie in Great Britain
If a visit to England’s Suffolk coast is on your family travel itinerary this year, consider scheduling a meal stop at the White Lion Hotel, Market Cross Place, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, United Kingdom.
Next month, the hotel opens Brasserie Bleu, a family-friendly dining venue featuring local produce with a French twist.
Head Chef Ben Hegarty (pictured) has created prix fixe and à la carte menus with traditional, back to basics food created from the best of the region’s natural larder from land and sea. There’s also a new wine list selected by the hotel group’s head sommelier, François Belin.
Main courses include a choice of classic dishes, plus a selection of the chef’s own plats and the local catch of the day: fish and seafood from the East coast, mussels from the river Deben, free range meat from Halesworth and Dingley Dell Pork from nearby Woodbridge.
