Road Trips Foodies may consider lettuce not worthy of comment, but to Yuma it’s crucial — an agricultural crop that provides much of the area’s income.
You’ll have to hurry, though, if you want to celebrate the leafy green. Yuma Lettuce Days are this weekend: February 28, 2015, and March 1, 2015.
It all takes place at the University of Arizona Yuma Ag Center, 6524 West Eighth Street, Yuma, Arizona — a working research farm in the Yuma Valley just west of town. (If you happen to be at Arizona Western College for the International Spinach Conference, you’re ready to party.)
Admission is $5 per person, but kids 12 and under get in free.
