Asparagus Festival in Ivancice

The Czechs have a love affair with asparagus — at least in and around Ivancice.
That’s where the Asparagus Festival takes place May 22 through 24, 2015 — it is, of course, an asparagus-producing region of the Czech Republic.
Local restaurants will offer multitudes of asparagus dishes and specialties since few Road Trips Foodies (except those who rent self-catering cottages) can experiment with the fresh sprouts in their own kitchens.
The event includes cooking classes for adults and children, farmers’ markets, wine tastings, concerts, exhibitions and competitions.
