Snowshoe, Wine & Brew Trail
Three enterprises in the heart of Michigan’s Old Mission Peninsula — Jolly Pumpkin Brewery, Brys Estate Vineyards and Bowers Harbor Vineyards – have devised a snowshoe trail that will allow winter visitors to enjoy their wines and craft brews beers and still have time to work off those excess calories.
The Old Mission Snowshoe, Wine & Brew Trail will be held on Sundays January 11 through March 1, 2015, weather permitting. The arrangement allows snowshoers to enjoy special pricing on tastings, wine and beer by the glass and lunch (at Jolly Pumpkin).
Since because the flagged trail starts at the high point of the Peninsula and works its way downhill, it’s not too much of a strain – and participants who want to buy bottles or cases along the way will be glad to know that their purchases will be delivered to the finish line.
No reservations are required. Participants simply check in at the Jolly Pumpkin by 10:45 a.m. Sundays to catch the Brew Bus shuttle to the starting point at Brys Estate.
