Another Kind of Turkey
Some of us are tucking in to a distinctly different turkey today. Yes, Road Trips Foodies, we’re indulging in a Turkey Cake from Baskin-Robbins, the chain of ice cream specialty shops.
This Thanksgiving turkey is all ice cream “cake” glazed in caramel praline topping and completed with two sugar cone legs.
There are other choices: a Fall Harvest Roll Cake (a fudge-frosted roll cake, finished with decorative leaves and pumpkins) and Turtle Pie (Pralines ‘n Cream ice cream topped with caramel praline and pecans and set on a chocolate pie crust).
Named the top ice cream and frozen dessert franchise in the United States by Entrepreneur magazine’s 35th annual Franchise 500® ranking, Baskin-Robbins is the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops with more than 7,400 retail shops in nearly 50 countries. In 2013, more than 13 million ice cream cakes were sold in Baskin-Robbins shops worldwide.
