Applefest in Glastonbury

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Apple Harvest Festival in Glastonbury. It’s set for October 17, 18 and 19, 2014, in Welles Street Riverfront Park, 300 Welles Street, Glastonbury, Connecticut.
Of course the reason for the fest is the celebration of the annual apple harvest but of course there’ll be more than apples: three stages will feature 40 local, original musical acts from all across Connecticut and fireworks are promised on Saturday night.
All of this is in addition a pie-eating contest, pie bake-off, more than 100 vendors, pony rides, a petting zoo, amusement rides and a “Harvest Pub” beer and wine garden.
