There you are, rolling down the highway and minding your own business when you swing out into the left lane to pass . . . a giant baking potato?
No, you’re not hallucinating, Road Trips Foodie. You’ve just overtaken the Famous Idaho Potato Tour Truck.
The potato weighs six tons (12,130 pounds), equalling 32,346 medium-sized Idaho® potatoes that would fry up into some 1,500,000 average-sized french fries.
If you want to see it stationery, there’s a schedule of appearances online. Upcoming stops include Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee, Minnesota, Utah and, of course, Idaho.
