Calling all garlic heads! Well, that’s what the announcement from the Lions Club of Perth, Ontario, Canada, says.
The annual Garlic Festival that they sponsor exists to promote Ontario-grown garlic, share ideas on how to grow, harvest, market, cook and enjoy garlic, but — they say — it’s also to bring together ‘garlic heads’ and producers on the second weekend each August.
Well, then. August 9 and 10, 2014, are this year’s dates for the celebration to the ‘stinking rose’.
On the schedule for the event, held on the Perth Fairgrounds, are cooking demonstrations, garlic bread tasting and garlic braiding (not to mention a beer & wine tasting).
