Herb and Food Fair
An “Herb and Food Fair” is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 31, 2014, at Bastyr University, 14500 Juanita Drive NE, Kenmore, Washington (that’s 15 miles north of Seattle, Road Trips Foodies).
This year’s theme is “Food and Medicine on the Wild Side.”
There’ll be cooking demonstrations, presentations by nutritional experts, art for children, live music and garden tours on campus.
Keynote speakers include Amy Stewart, author of The Drunken Botanist: The Plants that Create the World’s Great Drinks; Todd Caldecott, a clinical herbalist and ayurvedic practitioner; Glenn Herlihy, cofounder of the Beacon Food Forest; John Sundstrom, chef and owner of the Seattle restaurant Lark, and Jo Robinson, an investigative journalist and author of Eating on the Wild Side: The Missing Link to Optimum Health.
