Lake Charles Crawfish Festival
The Original Downtown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival takes place April 11 through 13, 2014, in (no surprise here) downtown Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Always held on the second weekend in April at the Lake Charles Civic Center, the fest promotes not only the crawfish season but the history of the seafood industry in the state.
Of course there are the usual accoutrements of a festival, including a carnival, art show (everything seafood-themed), entertainment and a parade — but Road Trips Foodies are headed there for the crawfish (whether boiled, barbecued or etoufféed).
You can purchase tickets online.
