South Beach Wine & Food Fest
This is the big one, Road Trips Foodies, so big that it’s better known by its acronym than its full name.
Yes, tickets for the SOBEWFF (the South Beach Wine & Food Fest) are on sale now, even though the event doesn’t take place in and around Miami, Florida, until February 20 through 23, 2014.
Who could resist an event labeled “Swine and Wine”? Beach chic attire is required for this outdoor event on February 23, 2014. There’s no way to improve on this description: ” Chef Michelle Bernstein rounds up some of her fellow colleagues to take pig roasting to a whole new level. This superior group of professional pig slayers will use their secret arsenal of special spice blends to make your taste buds dance with their treatment of all-natural, farm-raised, exceptionally tender pork. The roasted, mouth-watering meat being served straight from each chef’s own caja china will be accompanied by savory side dishes and desserts created by the Biltmore Hotel [where the event will be held].” Oh, my — and only $150 per person.
