Chocolate Fest Times Three
Road Trips Foodies heading across the pond this month have a trio of chocolate fests to tempt their palates.
First up is the Chocolate Festival, set for March 9 and 10, 2013, in Brighton, a seaside town in England (map). This two-day event includes British award-winning chocolatiers such as Montezuma’s, organic producers Cocoa Loco and Jaz and Juls’ ‘proper organic hot chocolate’.
Then, there’s the Oxford Chocolate Festival on March 16 and 17, 2013, on the town’s historic Broad Street (map). Master chocolatiers taking part include Paul. A. Young, William Curley, Damian Allsop, Bill McCarrick and Barry Johnson.
Finally, there’s the Chocolate Festival in London’s riverside Southbank Centre (map) March 22 through 24, 2013. Highlights include a Valrhona afternoon tea with creations by their head pastry chef, the chance to create your own chocolate bar with ChocoMe and a free tutored chocolate tasting with Martin Christy of Seventy%.
