Here’s your chance to see where America’s favorite ice cream flavor comes from, Road Trips Foodies.
Between 1 and 4 p.m. February 17, 2013, it’s “Vanilla Sunday” at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, 1345 Piedmont Avenue NE, Atlanta, Georgia (map).
Surround yourself with the aromas and flavors of vanilla during a celebration of this orchid (you knew that vanilla came from the orchid plant, yes?). Enjoy an afternoon of cooking demonstrations, sensory experiences and delicious vanilla sundaes (while supplies last).
Sip vanilla-flavored tea from Just Add Honey, and catch cooking demos by Garden Chef Christina Curry as she prepares Vanilla Risotto with Crab at 2 p.m. and Vanilla Anise Biscotti at 3 p.m.
