Celebrate all things wine during the 28th annual Nouveau Wine Weekend in Galena, Illinois.
On November 16 and 17, 2012, Road Trips Foodies can indulge in wine tastings — including not only Nouveau, but also everything from Oregon Pinot Noirs to Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons and Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs to Carneros Chardonnays.
The weekend starts at noon on November 17, when many area restaurants offer traditional French peasant stew made with Nouveau wine. At 2:30 p.m., Cellars Vineyard & Winery releases their Nouveau wine with horse-drawn wagon delivery to downtown businesses and a parade of revelers.
