A Vodka Experience in Russia
What better place to learn all about vodka than Russia, where it was (allegedly) first produced?
The Grand Hotel Europe, Nevsky Prospekt, Mikhailovskaya Ulitsa 1/7, St. Petersburg, Russia (map), now offers its guests a ‘Vodka Experience’.
Participants will learn how to pair the Russian spirit with food, have a cocktail master class with the hotel’s head barman and indulge in specially created vodka spa treatments.
The hotel’s executive chef will take vodka enthusiasts through the classic Russian pairings of
Astrakhan Beluga Caviar with Beluga Vodka, marinated salmon with Tsarskaya Gold Vodka, and for
dessert, strawberries dusted with icing sugar served with Grey Goose Vodka.
Guests can also try over 22 types of vodka at the newly refurbished Lobby Bar at the hotel (an Orient Express historic property), including eight types of home made vodka such as pepper vodka, lime vodka, sweet berry vodka and red chili vodka.
