Country Applefest
Apple cider and apple pie are the stars at the 30th annual Country Applefest, set for September 29, 2012, on the streets of downtown Lebanon, Ohio (map). Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. — rain or shine — and admission is free.
Your Road Trips Foodie knows that you’re driving there for the apple goodies, but you may want to know that all the craft vendors at the Applefest are required to hand-make their items.
You won’t find any commercially manufactured items at this down-home festival but you will find pottery, porcelain vases, wreaths, gemstone and beaded jewelry, candles, baskets, and all kinds of decorations for any holiday.
Entertainment will be provided by dancers practicing styles from around the world, including Kira’s Oasis Belly Dancers, who will demonstrate Middle Eastern dancing for all.
