If you’re heading towards Oregon, Road Trips Foodies, check out Forktown Food Tours before you go.
They offer foodie walks in some of the city’s best “eating” neighborhoods.
The culinary treasures of the Alphabet District and Northwest 23rd Avenue are explored beginning at 2 p.m. each Friday. Participants sample local craft beer, seasonal small plates, cocktails, tiny artisan cookies, micro-batch coffee and food cart offerings.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, there’s a three-hour tour through North Portland’s culinary hot spots along North Mississippi Avenue. Samplings include small-batch artisan ice cream, gourmet finishing salts from around the world and hand-made chocolate confections.
