The German heritage of the Lone Star State is obvious next weekend in Somerville, Texas.
The third annual Great Texas Sausage Festival is set for May 11 and 12, 2012, in Welch Park on Lake Somerville (map).
A new event, the 2012 Sausage Cook-Off, takes place May 12. And, of course, there’s live music; arts & crafts vendors; lots of food vendors; a car, truck and motorcycle show, and even lawn mower races.
It’s all sponsored by Burleson County and the City of Somerville.
