Chocolate Fondue Snowshoe Tour
What better place to celebrate the holidays than high up in the mountains? Add chocolate to the snowy tableau, and you’ve got a magical winter experience.
British Columbia’s Cypress Mountain offers a Chocolate Fondue Snowshoe Tour after the sun goes down. Guests snowshoe through the towering forest and glades of Hollyburn plateau on their way to a rustic warming hut. Surrounded by candlelight, they will enjoy a mug of hot apple cider before indulging in chocolate fondue.
The three-hour tour is $50 (plus tax), and is available from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings (the last one of the season is December 30, 2011).
It’s easy to add to a Vancouver visit — Cypress Mountain is less than 19 miles from downtown.
