Cherry Days in Croatia

A very particular kind of cherry is grown in and around Lovran, Croatia (it’s said to be similar to the Lambert, but your Road Trips Foodie can’t recall tasting either the Lambert or the Lovran).
In any case, the Lovran locals call them Brtosinka — and that’s the variety featured at the Cherry Festival held each year during the month of June. Lovran’s taverns and restaurants offer cherry desserts and/or meals featuring cherries. Yum!
