Exmoor Food Festival
The Exmoor Food Festival runs for 10 days, Road Trips Foodies — that’s a great window of opportunity for a trip across the pond.
Events for the festival, to be held September 30 through October 9, 2011, in Porlock, England, United Kingdom, include:
• Victorian cream teas and farm visits
• Tasting platters and American brunches
• Food fairs and fun food fetes
• Food walks and ‘Ale & Cider’ trails
• Refined à la carte suppers and children’s jelly fights
• Cookery courses and sausage-making demos
• Tapas with cocktails and chocolate suppers.
There are two marketplaces: the Food Marquee at the Lyn Food Fest & Fete and the Exmoor Food Fair in Porlock (plus all the local farmers’ markets). Plus, you can watch cooking demos during the festival, or maybe sign up for one of the workshops scheduled by the Streamcombe Cookery School.
