Three Places to Tour Blue Bell
What better way to celebrate July (also known as National Ice Cream Month) than by touring an ice cream factory? Blue Bell offers three cool places to do just that, Road Trips Foodies!
Wandering Texas? Put Brenham on your itinerary. In Oklahoma, head to Broken Arrow. And, in Alabama, you can tour Blue Bell at Sylacauga.
Pick your destination, go on line to check hours and dates, then sign up. Tours last 45 minutes and include a serving of ice cream.
The original Blue Bell Creamery is the one in Brenham, Texas — it opened in 1907, named for the Texas bluebell wildflower.
A new flavor this July is “Dessert Trio”: vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookie pieces, pecan brownies, and chocolate-coated cake pieces all surrounded by a swirl of chocolate sauce. Your Road Trip Foodie’s favorite summer flavor, though, is the “Peaches & Homemade Vanilla”.
