Dorset Seafood Festival
The fourth annual Dorset Seafood Festival takes place July 9 and 10, 2011, at Waterfront Weymouth, Dorset, England.
There’ll be cooking demonstrations by top chefs, filleting demonstrations, champagne and wine matching demos, fresh fish auctions and booksigning by chef-authors. A special guest is John Wright, River Cottage’s foraging expert. And, of course, there’s fresh seafood and more offered by some 70 stalls.
An unique event is the Cross Harbour Oyster Challenge at 10:30 a.m. July 9: as many as 30 swimmers wil brave the cold water in Weymouth Harbour race across it, down an oyster and a glass of Champagne!
