Marysville Strawberry Festival
One of the oldest foodie festivals takes place June 10-19, 2011, in downtown Marysville, Washington — a small town known for its strawberry farms. It’s no surprise that the Marysville Strawberry Festival celebrates the strawberry — from fresh out of the fields to stacked high on a shortcake. A highlight is the 80th annual grand parade (starting at 7:45 p.m. June 18 and ending about 10:10 p.m. with a fireworks show).
If you can’t get enough berries at the Marysville fest, Road Trips Foodies, amble on over to the Strawberry Harvest Fest at Biringer Farm, 21412 59th Ave NE, Arlington, Washington, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 18 and 19, 2011. You can pick your own (or buy ’em pre-picked).
