Pleasure Island Chowder Cook-off

Chefs from Carolina Beach and Wilmington (both in North Carolina) will prepare their best seafood chowder recipes between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 16, 2011, during the 2011 Pleasure Island Chowder Cook-off.
Admission ($5) provides tastes of the chowder, music and lots of kids’ activities plus, for an additional fee, there’ll be paddleboat rides. Park for free at the Federal Point Shopping Center, then ride the free trolley to Carolina Beach Lake.
Restaurants participating include 17th Street Deli, Havana’s, O’Charley’s, Seaside Grille at Courtyard by Marriott, Surf House, Tangerines Caribbean Grill, The Lazy Pirate and The Treehouse Bistro.
