Hot Sauce and Fiery Foods Festival
Did you know, Road Trips Foodies, that the state of Victoria in Australia is the heart of the Australian Chili Culture? If you’re headed Down Under, you can check it out for yourself at the Hot Sauce & Fiery Foods Festival, set for March 19 and 20, 2011, just outside Melbourne.
It’ll be held at the Redback Chilli Company farm on Jacksons Track, Jindivick, West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia (and if you’re driving, you’ll find it about 45 minutes from Dandenong along the Princes Highway).

If you’re serious about your chilis, you’ll want to be there on March 20 for the Fiery Foods Cookoff, which is an open competition.
Do note that while those of us in the United States spell it “chili” as in chili pepper, in Oz they spell it “chilli”. Same hot peppers, though!
