Albany’s Food Festival
One doesn’t think of Albany as a culinary destination, Road Trips Foodies but maybe that opinion should change. If you’re in the vicinity of New York State’s capital city between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. August 18, 2010, stop by the Empire State Plaza for a taste.
The Food Festival will include not only a Farmers’ Market, but more than 50 specialty vendors serving up lunch and dinner treats.
Enjoy your lunch while listening to the Chris Busone Band. Local hipsters, Super 400, blaze into the dinner show with their classic-meets-alternative sounds. Next up is O’Death, an anachronistic jug band party with sing-along hooks and weathered vocals from another time. The Smithereens headline the evening show with pop-on-steroids hits.
