Lemonade Day
Mark Sunday, May 2, 2010, on your calendars, Road Trips Foodies! If you’re anywhere near Austin, Houston, Kileen/Fort Hood, San Antonio or somewhere in Wayne County, Texas; Champaign, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Durham, North Carolina; Griffin, Georgia; Indianapolis, Indiana; Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota or San Francisco Bay Area, California, there’s a very special foodie event happening that day.
Lemonade Day serves up that most delectable of warm weather beverages while teaching kids entrepreneurship. It’s a multi-city organized effort to encourage kids to start lemonade stands and sell their lemonade to the entire community. Kids will learn to set goals, develop a business plan, establish a budget, seek investors and provide customer service. And, customers will get a great glass of lemonade in the bargain.
