Piazza d’Italia 2009 showcases the “best of Italy” this weekend, October 23 and 24, 2009, in the Hilton Washington, 1919 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. Hosted by the National Italian American Foundation, Piazza d’Italia includes wine and food tastings, cooking demonstrations, musical performances and celebrity guests. Hours Friday are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of an estimated 25 million Americans of Italian descent and providing an effective network of business leaders.
