Tennis, Wine and Fine Dining at the Broadmoor
For those Road Trip Foodies who feel guilty about spending an entire three-day weekend indulging in the best in wine and fine dining, the Broadmoor has the perfect solution. The Colorado Springs, Colorado, resort’s wine and culinary weekend (set for September 18-20, 2009) includes a full nine hours of tennis instruction spread out over Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning.
Then there’s the culinary adventure. It begins Friday evening with a private wine-tasting by Charles Court’s sommelier. On Saturday afternoon, there’s an exclusive cooking demonstration in the exhibition kitchen with Broadmoor top chefs. Highpoint of the culinary extravaganza is a private seven-course dinner at the Charles Court Chef’s Table Saturday evening.
And, so you can remember the playful weekend, you’ll take home a camp notebook and other Broadmoor-logo’d gear.
The Broadmoor, which opened in 1918, is a member of Preferred Historic Hotels. The five-star resort includes 744 rooms and suites; a spa; three golf courses; a tennis club with six courts, including two clay courts; 25 retail shops; 18 on-property eateries, restaurants and lounges, and a full children’s program.
