Storytelling through BBQ
What better way to showcase both a philosophy and a product than through storytelling-with-food! Road Trip Foodies meandering near Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 12, 2009, might consider stopping at the Slow Food BBQ, to begin at 6 p.m. in the Ritz Carlton Lake Las Vegas, 1610 Lake Las Vegas Parkway, Henderson, Nevada. For $65 (plus tax and gratuity), guests will experience “storytelling through barbecue” — combining the tale of the century-old Bar 10 ranch with a multi-course dinner hosted by winemaker Joe Bastianich and Slow Food Las Vegas. Dishes — more Wild West than East Coast — will include grass-fed beef brisket with baked beans, cowboy beef chili, s’mores and more (the produce will be provided by other local farmers).
