SF Chefs. Food. Wine.
Is San Francisco the epicenter of culinary invention? Road Tripping Foodies can decide for themselves — if they’re in northern California next weekend. SF Chefs Food Wine takes place August 6-9, 2009. The four day event celebrating the flavors, diversity and bounty of Northern California centers on a main tasting tent in Union Square, where chefs, wine makers and distillers will offer an exploration of taste featuring local products. Classes and seminars will offer interactive opportunities for the public to participate with local farmers, ranchers, chefs, winemakers, distillers, media, luminaries, authors, vintners, mixologists and culinary experts in an entertaining forum. Tickets are available on line — a four day pass is $700, should you have the entire weekend to spend in the City by the Bay.
An added incentive: the Gourmet Housewares Show takes place in San Francisco’s Moscone Center August 8-10, 2009.
