Winemakers Dinners in the British Virgin Islands
December is a great month to head to the Caribbean (as all Road Trippers know), but foodies have an extra reason this year. The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board is sponsoring the 2009 Virgin Islands Winemakers Dinners, a series of six- and seven-course gourmet dinners, with each course paired with one or two great wines poured by the winemakers from December 3 to 6, 2009. Locations are private villas and other special places throughout the BVI. The opening reception is December 2 at the Pirates Bight on Norman Island, followed by the dinners: Baraka Point at Nail Bay, Virgin Gorda on December 3; Frenchmans Lookout, Tortola on December 4; Paradisi, Virgin Gorda on December 5; and the Golden Pavilion Villa, Tortola on December 6. Get your plane tickets booked and that rental car arranged, then reserve your place at the table!
