Santa Barbara’s Wine Festival

The biggest event of the California Wine Festival is July 18, 2009: unlimited wine tasting, unlimited food sampling and unlimited live music from 1-4 p.m. along the beach in Santa Barbara. The event attracts 2000-2500 wine lovers of all ages. (Shirts and shoes required, even though it is on the beach!) However, Road Trips for Foodies is aiming for July 16, 2009, when “Old Spanish Nights” gears up from 5:30-8 p.m. with both tapas and wine tasting as a preview of Santa Barbara’s “Old Spanish Days” Fiesta, set for August 5-9, 2009. On this July evening, classic Spanish dancers and Flamenco guitar bring the spirit of old Spain to the wine festival.
