Courtesy of the Southern Foodways Alliance, here‘s all you ever wanted to know about the Mississippi Delta Hot Tamale Trail and the good cooks that make it such a great road trip for foodies. The site includes an interactive map, so you won’t miss one mouthful of the tasty Deep South goodness! The Southern Foodways Alliance and Viking Range Corporation created the Mississippi Delta Hot Tamale Trail in an effort to document the history, tradition, and culture of hot tamales from Tunica to Vicksburg. An on-going project, there will be regular additions to the oral history archive, as well as to the locations on the interactive map.
