Is Michigan on Your 2010 Agenda?
Good news for Road Trips Foodies heading to Michigan in the future. The state is forming a Culinary Tourism Alliance under the auspices of the Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council with the Michigan Restaurant Association and Travel Michigan. Culinary tours are promised, and we’ll link to them as they’re developed. Think: fine wines, craft beers, apple cider, maple syrup, cherries, blueberries and cranberries! The Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council is an 11-member panel that supports the growth of the grape and wine industry in Michigan. It is housed in the Agriculture Development Division of the Michigan Department of Agriculture, which is the official state agency charged with serving, promoting and protecting the food, agriculture and agricultural economic interests of the people of the state of Michigan.
