Gastronomic Getaway Weekend
The very first Gastronomic Getaway Weekend takes place October 21-24 at Lake Placid Lodge, 144 Lodge Way, Lake Placid, New York.
Sandro Romano of The Modern, Christopher Bradley of Gramercy Tavern and Jean-Luc Le Du, owner of Le Du’s Wines and former chef sommelier of Daniel, will leave New York City and spend a weekend in the country with guests at the Lodge.
Limited to mainly New York State products and working within the realms of the Lodge’s farm-to-table philosophy, the weekend’s itinerary will include one-on-one time with the chefs; discussion panels; wine, beer and spirit tastings; mixology lessons; hiking; the “reinvention” of the s’more; a BBQ competition between the chefs, and visits to nearby dairy and maple farms.
Guests have two opportunities for experiencing the Gastronomic Getaway weekend. The first is a package covering the entire weekend of festivities with rates starting at $2,995 per couple and includes three nights lodging, breakfast, all activities, wine and spirit pairings, and three multicourse dinners prepared by the renowned chefs. The second opportunity is a daily package for $150 per person, per day and includes all activities, and a multicourse dinner with wine pairings.
Lake Placid Lodge, a hotel and resort in the Adirondacks of New York State, is an Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge and a member of Relais & Chateaux.
