Egyptian Classic Cuisine
Why not combine a sightseeing trip to Egypt with a cooking class in Cairo? Qasr Twenty is a culinary school located in a 1930s Art Deco building at 20 Qasr al Ainy (map), not far from Tahir Square.
Qasr Twenty (yes, the name comes from the street address) offers regularly scheduled cooking classes focused on regional cuisine from every corner of Egypt and hosts tastings with some of the capital’s most notable chefs.
The classes are hands-on cooking, offering insight into Egyptian culture and culinary tradition while teaching how to create authentic dishes. In addition, Qasr Twenty works with Sekem Farms, a network of organic and biodynamic farms, to ensure that a minimum of 50% of the seasonal produce is organic.
Cost? $85 per person, based upon a minimum of four participants.
