Food & Wine Weekend in Boca Grande
Road Trips Foodies headed to Florida this winter might want to plan to include the Gasparilla Inn’s Food & Wine Weekend. It’s set for January 13 through 15, 2012, at the inn, 500 Palm Avenue, Boca Grande, Florida.
It’s headlined by the inn’s executive chef, Peter Timmins. Originally from Ireland, Timmins has received the status of Certified Master Chef, one of just 60 chefs in the world to have earned this title.
Chef John Folse from Louisiana will also participate, as will Certified Master Chef John Johnstone of Scotland.
One of the highlights of the Food & Wine Weekend will be the Master Chefs’ Dinner, featuring multiple courses, each prepared by a different chef and paired with wines from Napa Valley and Oregon.
The grand Gasparilla Inn & Club is a member of Historic Hotels of America and listed on The National Register of Historic Places.
