Midsommar Fest takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow (June 17, 2023) at the Erlander Home Museum, ?404 South Third Street, Rockford, Illinois.
This yearly Swedish festival welcomes the arrival of the summer solstice. Admission is free.
The event will feature a traditional maypole raising,Swedish folk dancing and music, a Swedish pancake eating contest, and shopping with Swedish vendors.
Swedish food will be available at the Stockholm Inn pavilion.
Children can meet and play games with literary character Pippi Longstocking. Visitors can listen to music throughout the day and experience a walking tour of historic Haight Village.
