Walleye Festival in Port Clinton, Ohio
The 40th Annual Main Street Port Clinton Walleye Festival gets underway Memorial Day weekend at Waterworks Park on the shore of Lake Erie in Port Clinton, Ohio.
An array of free, live concerts, a Kids Fishing Derby, a Grande Parade, educational programs and activities, 5K Run & Walk, carnival rides, and more than 130 vendors from around the nation are promised from May 27 through 31, 2021, by Main Street Port Clinton.
“Lots of food and beverages” are in store — including (it is hoped by this Road Trips Foodie) walleye: Also called the yellow pike or yellow pickerel, walleye is a freshwater perciform fish native to most of Canada and to the Northern United States.
