Peeps Aren’t Just for Easter Anymore
Peepsfest is the annual two-day New Year’s Eve festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania — home of the ubiquitous Peeps candies from Just Born Quality Confections.
Each year, fans of all ages arrive from all over the country to participate in family-friendly activities from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. both December 30 and 31, 2019, at SteelStacks, a venue of ArtsQuest (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization).
But the biggest reason to go? The Peeps Chick Drop. A four-foot, nine-inch-tall 400-pound Peeps chick descends at 5:15 p.m. December 31, 2019, to commemorate the beginning of a new year.
And, speaking of candy drops, Another faux edible item drops New Year’s Eve in Mobile, Alabama. That iconic Southern treat, the Moon Pie, makes its “plunge at midnight December 31, 2019.
