Acadiana’s Soirée Royale in Opelousas, Louisiana
At the Soirée Royale, chefs from throughout Acadiana compete in seven categories: appetizer, chocolate, dessert, meat, seafood, soup, and yam.
The competition, starting at 5:30 p.m. September 16, 2019, will be held in Evangeline Downs Racetrack Casino, 2235 Creswell Lane, Opelousas, Louisiana. Tickets are $40.
It’s sponsored by the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce. Those attending will sample the chefs’ signature dishes and cast their votes for the People’s Choice award..
The competition is open to certified, licensed, and insured, chefs/restaurants and caterers. This annual event serves as a fundraiser for the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce, and provides funding for the Chamber’s college scholarship program.
