Two Upcoming Maple Fests in the Hoosier State
Road Trips Foodies might want to check out how maple syrup is made at one of the maple fests upcoming in February and March.
These two are for two weekends each in Indiana.
The Parke County Maple Syrup Fair takes place February 23 and 24, 2019, and March 2 and 3, 2019, at the county’s 4-H Fairgrounds, 1472 North US 41, Rockville, Indiana.
Pick up a map so you can strike out on your own and visit all of Parke County’s Maple Syrup Camps.
Hours at the fairgrounds each day are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (and, yes, Hoosier syrup will be on sale).
The Salem Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival takes place the same two weekends, rain or shine, at LM Sugarbush, LLC, 321 North Garrison Hollow Road, Salem, Indiana — a 140-acre family farm. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
In addition to the sugaring, there’ll be all sorts of vendors and activities (some including llamas).
