Maple Syrup Days in Indiana’s McCloud Nature Park
How about a tree-to-table foodie experience? Maple Syrup Days take place March 2 and 9, 2019, in McCloud Nature Park, 8518 Hughes Road, North Salem, Indiana.
See the sap drip from the maple trees into attached buckets. Watch staff and volunteers collect the sap and pour it into evaporators. A bit of evaporation magic, and the result is maple syrup.
Hours both Saturdays are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A bonus: in the Nature Center is an “all-the-pancakes-you-can-eat” fundraiser for breakfast or lunch. The pancakes feature maple syrup made using sap from McCloud’s own maple trees.
