Indiana’s 10 Best Burgers
Each year, readers of VisitIndiana.com vote for the “Best of Indiana”. This time, voters selected the state’s best burgers. It was a tough job, but here are their 10 best:
#1 – Brew Burger from Brew, 408 Main Street, Jasper (pictured)
#2 – PB Burger, Bravas, 3412 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne
#3 – Big Buster, Don Hall’s Hollywood Drive-In, 4416 Lima Road, Fort Wayne (bonus: carhops!)
#4 – The Duane Purvis All American, Triple XXX Family Restaurant, 2 North Salisbury Street, West Lafayette
#5 – Off Square Burger, Off Square Brewing, 11000 Delaware Parkway, Crown Point
#6 – Southwest Burger, 33 Brick Street, 480 South Maple Street, French Lick
#7 – Leif Erikson Burger, Ironside Viking Tavern & Eatery, 1065 West Jefferson Street, Franklin
#8 – “Big Ugly”, Bub’s Burgers & Ice Cream, 210 West Main Avenue, Carmel
#9 – Big Mouth Burger, Big Woods, 60 Molly’s Lane, Nashville
#10 – Newk’d, Superburger, 600 West Main Street, Paoli
Somehow your Road Trips Foodie’s favorite Hoosier hamburger didn’t make the list. Still, if you’re traveling through Indy without the kids and have enough cash on hand (no credit cards and 21-over only), it’s worth a stop at Workingman’s Friend, 234 North Belmont Avenue, Indianapolis. (That’s its burger, pictured below; don’t forget the onion rings.)
